Blog Syndication Bot
I’m on vacation right now so no video yet. But here is a bot that will log into a list of Wordpress blogs and make a post. This is a cool tool for anyone that runs a blog network that makes posts across the network.
You can also use {spin|tags|in|this|format} in the title and content so you can use unique content. If you have the All In One SEO Pack then you can also use the Meta Description, Meta Keywords, and Blog Post title. You can also spin the meta description.
This works with WP versions 2.9, 2.8, 2.7, 2.5, and 2.2
After my vacation I will update to work with the other versions if you haven’t upgraded in awhile. Also my intentions are to add Wordpress and Blogger functionality so it works with free blogs also.
In order to work you need to make a text file with all your URLS, Login, and Password. The format is important for this to work.
http://www.url.com/wp-admin/,username,password,
http://www.url.com/wp-admin/,username,password,
http://www.url.com/wp-admin/,username,password,
http://www.url.com/wp-admin/,username,password,
http://www.url.com/wp-admin/,username,password,
http://www.url.com/wp-admin/,username,password
Notice a comma after each line but not after the last one.
Downloads
Sample .txt file
UBot Code (Right Click -> Save As)
Free Blog Syndicator (Need Microsoft .NET 3.5 and IE8 installed)
To use just open the file and fill in the data on the top. Then click the browse button to select your text file. When all the info is filled out just hit play.
If you want to be notified when the script gets updated either subscribe to this post below or subscribe to the RSS Feed.

At last, a content syndicator that does the meta stuff as well!
I really have been looking for this for a long time.

Great bot. I’m having issues with my ubot studio and bots being transparent windows when I try to open the program. Any idea what is causing this?

Thanks for the info. But it was working fine before, on same machine, so it should still work. I downloaded an update maybe that messed it up but it should work with IE 7 too and did before. In fact the only portion that shows up on the program is the browser window. Its the rest of the UI that is totally transparent (not white, 100% transparent).
I emailed Seth so we’ll see what he says.
I was thinking that it maybe had to do with where I housed the files for bots and stuff because I saw two Ubot folders show up in mydocuments. One folder was U bot and the other Ubot. Both had weird txt files. One txt file said license and had my info in it and the other had three txt files all with a “0″ and that’s it.
So I moved everything into the actual Ubot program folder and still no luck. As a matter of fact now its asking me to authenticate my license.

Put the license.txt back in the My Documents/ubot/ folder
That one has to be there for authentication.
Sounds like it maybe a .NET Framework issue. But I would wait for Seth’s answer since he knows best.

I know it’s been a number of months but I’m wondering if you might do a video of how this bot was made. I’ve looked at the source code but I am completely retarded when it comes to programming and I’m still struggling through the learning curve with ubot.
I would love to make a bot that posts to multiple free blog platforms and web 2.0 sites and seeing how you built this bot would help me figure out how to do some of the things that I have in mind.
Thanks.

Just bought Ubot, great tool by the looks of it. Thanks for sharing some great tutorals. I know you’re probably busy but a video showing the basics of this Bot would be cool if you can. Also, any update on the blogger support?
Thanks

Aaron: Bought Ubot a few days ago (through your link) and have realized already that this is a pretty powerful piece of software for those of us that are not heavy programmers. It seems to be pretty easy to pick up but, unfortunately, the new version doesn’t quite jive with most of the videos, which makes the learning curve a bit more challenging (but not impossible).
My main sticking point is about solving captcha. I’m using Google as my place to learn by trying to create a Google Account maker. My bot navigates to Google, selects “Sign In” then clicks the “Create New Account” link on the next page. I have it doing everything right until it hits the captcha. I’ve followed the videos and decided to use the choose and change attributes way of solving but when I “Choose by Attribute” there doesn’t seem to be any attribute that is generic in value for the bot to pull the image from. I can get it to show the image using value or inner/outer html but that’s only good for the captcha showing a that moment. As soon as trhe page refreshes, none of those are good any more. I’ve tried to pull from the source code of the page and can’t find anything that will work. There is no ID or Name that I can find.
Any thoughts? Am I missing something simple? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This looks good for my purposes…could these two things be added easily?
* Category field (my network of blogs uses the same categories)
* Tags field
Thanks for sharing this…

Transparent or just blank (white)?
When you open the .exe or .ubot it does not come up properly? If it is doing it on both then it would have to be an IE or .NET Framework issue I would think.
Open up IE and make sure you can still use it. Also re-verify you are on IE8.
Download and install Microsoft .NET 3.5
All else fails just make a post on the support forums. They are really quick to fix issues.
